SYZYGY TORONTO

Sonic Fold is honoured to be the official music partner of Syzygy Toronto - an offline, screen-free gathering for self-identified women, based in Toronto. They host intimate, seasonal events to share stories, listen to one another, and explore relevant themes like  feminism, identity, and self-care.

One of the meanings of “Syzygy” is a union of opposites and it’s a defining element of the gatherings - with diversity in mind, Sonic Fold has curated playlists for Syzygy since their inaugural event in May 2017, in addition to Artist Facilitation at their Fall 2018 Mind Body and Soul event, working with acclaimed Toronto singer/songwriter/producer, Liz Lokre. CITY OF VAUGHAN | MOBILESTUDIO

On Thursday, February 7, the City Of Vaughan launched their Outside The Box community exhibition at Vaughan City Hall on the Slate gallery. The event was part of the Vaughan Business Expo X Creative Industries Summit, and included a mobileSTUDIO portrait lounge, where guests, participants and teams could have their photo taken. The exhibition featured portraits of innovation and technology from local photographers to represent the diverse industries that make up Vaughan.

Sonic Fold went outside the box with them to design a instrumental and ambient-driven playlist - think J.Dilla beats meets CDN innovators like Harrison and Kaytranada, dashes of Baile Funk-infused rhythms and downtempo cuts.
